As a Valentine’s gift to her constituents, on February 15, 2017, Atty. Aleli Concepcion, Municipal Mayor, sponsored and officiated the wedding of 88 couples from various barangays of Balaoan in a Mass Wedding held at the Balaoan Farmers Civic Center.

In support of Proclamation No. 760 series of 2014 declaring every month of January as Zero Waste Month, as well as the 17^th signing anniversary of R.A. 9003 or the Solid Waste Management Act on January 16, 2017, the Municipality of Balaoan conducted a municipal-wide clean-up drive on January 20, 2017.
