BALAOAN IS 1ST RUNNER-UP IN 2016 REGIONAL CSG SEARCH

Balaoan was proclaimed 1st runner-up in the 2016 Regional Search for the Cleanest, Safest and Greenest LGU among 1st to 3rd class municipalities (Municipality A) category during the Regional Development Council (RDC)-I Awards and Recognition Program held on May 09, 2017 at the Vigan Convention Center, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

The plaque was awarded by Hon. Juan Carlos S. Medina, RDC-I Chairperson & Mayor of Vigan City and Director Nestor G. Rillon of NEDA-I.

Balaoan being the Provincial Winner represented La Union in the Regional Level. This is an annual search conducted by RCD-I and NEDA to give due recognition to Provinces, Municipalities and Cities which excel in the areas of Environmental Management and Public Safety and Peace and Order.

San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte is the Champion while Tagudin, Ilocos Sur is the 2nd runner-up in the Municipality A category.
