Women’s Month 2023 Celebration (March 8, 2023)
The local government of Balaoan headed by Mayor Aleli U. Concepcion celebrates Women’s Month on March 8, 2023 at the Balaoan Farmers Civic Center with the theme: “WE for gender equality and inclusive society”. Among the activities are the following:
• Fun Walk
• Free services like haircut, eyebrow threading, manicure, pedicure and foot spa
• Lecture on Women Empowerment with resource speakers, namely: 1) Mr. George E. Florendo, Area Coordinator, KALAHI-CIDSS, DSWD Field Office 1; 2) FO1 Lara Erika P. Bergaño – personnel of BFP Balaoan Station; and 3) PEMS Agustin Bati – PNCO OIC, La Union Provincial Explosive Ordinance & K9 Unit
Said event ended with a BIDA Dance from the active women of the 36 barangays.
